Jonathan Breon
March 29, 1906
Manning Monitor

Jonathan Breon, whose illness was chronicled last week, died at his home in this city last Sunday afternoon. He suffered a stroke of paralysis a few days previously from which he never rallied. The funeral has not yet been held, owing to the impassable condition of the roads. The deceased has been a resident of this valley for many years. He was a civil war veteran, having served in a Wisconsin regiment. We regret that owing to the inability to get around we have not procured detailed facts regarding the life of the deceased, but can say that he was a good man and a devoted member of the Methodist church. He leaves a widow, but so far as we know has no other relatives unless it be a son or daughter living in Washington State.
The Gering, Nebraska, Courier.

Jonathan Breon is a brother of our townsman (Manning, Iowa), Mr. Ben Breon, proprietor of the Breon Hotel.
