Joseph Brandt, 68, died at his farm home four miles west of Manning at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 1955.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church here. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Ohde Funeral Home, where the body is resting until the time of the final rites.
Mr. Brandt, born at Wasserburg, Bavaria, Germany, April 13, 1887, came to the United States in 1913. He worked as a farmhand until 1922, when he engaged in farming for himself.
He was married to Katherine Mueller at Templeton November 27, 1922. They have lived in the present home for 24 years.
Surviving with his wife are eight children: Mrs. Irwin (Gertrude) Gehling, Gilmore City; Mrs. Lawrence (Margaret) Tranter, Carroll; Engelbert Brandt, at home; Mrs. Marcus (Sophia) Esser, Woodbine; Mrs. Walter (Catherine) Bissen, Earling, and Rosalia, Joseph, Jr., and Christian Brandt, at home.
