2 Manning Brothers Die Minutes Apart
Two brothers, Claus Bruhn, 73, and Jurgen Bruhn, 82, died at approximately the same hour last night. Claus succumbed at St. Anthony hospital in Carroll at 7:25. He had been taken to the hospital for medical attention the preceding afternoon.

Jurgen's death, said by Crawford County Coroner, Amos Sinn of Schleswig, to have been caused by a cerebral hemorrhage, is believed to have occurred about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the family home on a farm about five miles northwest of Manning in Crawford County.

WHEN
William Dammann, Jr., a neighbor and employee of the Bruhn brothers, called at the Bruhn home last night to notify Jurgen of his brother's death. He received no answer to his knock and decided that Mr. and Mrs. Bruhn had gone to bed.

This morning, when he went back to the home, there was still no answer. He looked through a window and saw Jurgen lying on the floor. His wife (Emma Eggers Bruhn), who sat beside him, seemed to be in a dazed condition.

The coroner, who was called, said death had probably occurred about 7:30 last night.

The brothers were the last of a large and well-to-do family of this vicinity. Claus was unmarried.

The bodies are at the Ohde Funeral home here.

Historical note: Amos Sinn was born and raised in Manning, son of Jens & Louise (Widmann) Sinn.
