Kenneth "Tiny" Adams
Kenneth Allen, son of William and Berniece (Schumann) Adams, was born August 17, 1942, at Manning, Iowa. He lived with his family on a farm north of Vail and attended rural school, Stockholm No. 7 before entering the Ar-We-Va Schools from which he graduated in 1960. After completing his education, Kenny worked at various jobs including driving Crawford County maintainer, working at a feed mill, and working for McCollough Brothers in construction, farming and trucking. He eventually went into trucking for himself.

On August 18, 1984, Kenny was united in marriage with Rosella Nuzum at Vail. He continued in the trucking business as long as his health permitted.

Kenny enjoyed having a good time, especially spending time with his nieces and nephews and other family members. He was a people person and playing cards with friends was very enjoyable to him. Kenny was very particular about his yard and when he had time enjoyed his model trains.

Kenny's health started to fail three years ago and was cared for at home by his wife. However, he died unexpectedly on Friday, July 11, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 60 years, 10 months and 24 days.

Preceding him in death are his parents.

He is survived by his wife Rosella "Rosie" Adams of Manning; two step-children Nettie and husband Trent Smith of Newton and John Nuzum and wife Karie of Newton; three brothers Dennis Adams and wife Karen of Omaha, Nebraska; Sam Adams and wife LuAnn of Boone and Bill Adams and wife Barb of Vail; mother and father-in-law Nettie and Bob Nuzum of Woodbine; many brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
