LARRY ANTHONY

Larry Anthony, 71, died Monday, June 27, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Center, Corsica, South Dakota.

Funeral service will be Thursday, June 30, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Plankinton, South Dakota, with burial following in Silver Ridge Cemetery in Stickney, South Dakota.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Stickney.

Larry Anthony was born March 6, 1940 to Gilmer and Ida (Gruhn) Anthony in Carroll.
He was married to Nancy Branning on September 16, 1967, at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia.
He retired from Wittrock Motor Co. in Carroll in 2002 and moved to Stickney to be closer to family.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Plankinton and enjoyed watching his grandchildren in sports, gardening, mowing, camping and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Stickney; two children Terry Anthony and wife, Brenda of Stickney and Tracie Anthony of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; grandchildren Tyler, Aaron, Makenzie, and Bailey Anthony, all of Stickney; a sister Lois Stribe and husband, Lowell of Manning; three brothers Danny Anthony and wife, Eloise of Newton, Dick Anthony of Des Moines, and Randy Anthony and wife, Jacki of Denison; mother-in-law Bernice Branning of Manning; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilmer and Ida Anthony; a sister-in-law, Donna Anthony and father-in-law, Art Branning.
