MRS. LAURA KRUSE
Funeral rites for Mrs. Laura Magdalena Kruse, 76, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 22, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery, with the Ohde Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Kruse died at the Manning Plaza December 20, 1967.

A daughter of John and Anna (Lemster) Joens, she was born May 25, 1891, in Hayes Township, Crawford County, and attended rural schools. She married Harry Kruse on February 15, 1910, and the couple farmed in Hayes Township until 1945, when they moved to Manning. Mr. Kruse died February 21, 1951, and Mrs. Kruse continued to live in Manning, residing for the last few years with her daughter, Mrs. Florence Ramsey.

She was preceded in death also by two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Emma) Lohrmann; and Mrs. Julius (Amanda) Molter; a son-in-law, William Ramsey, and a great-granddaughter.

She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. William (Willetta) Sander, Denison; Mrs. Florence Ramsey, Manning; Mrs. Ray (Dolores) Brockman, Arcadia; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Willie (Elsie) Schroeder of Manning.
