MRS. HERMAN LAGE
Mrs. Herman Lage, 75, of Manning, died Sunday night, October 27, 1968, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, where she had been a patient for three weeks. She had been in failing health for a year.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church here, with burial in the Manning Cemetery. Pastor Edward F. Heinicke will officiate. Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning after 6 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Lage, the former Laura A. Mohr, was born October 30, 1892, in Carroll County, north of Manning, a daughter of Gustav and Helena (Goettsch) Mohr. She attended rural school near her home and in Manning for two years. She was employed by Marten's Mercantile Company in Manning, and was married here to Mr. Lage on February 12, 1919. The couple lived on the same farm northwest of Manning until retiring and moving into town in February 1955. Mrs. Lage was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Manning, and belonged to the Dorcas Society of the church.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Wesley of Shell Rock and Walter of Manning; four grandsons and one granddaughter. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
