Graveside services for LaVonne "Bonnie" Armstrong were held Friday, November 4, 1977, at 2:00 p.m. at the Nishnabotna Cemetery in Manilla with the Rev. Donald Jones of the United Methodist Church of Manning, officiating.

LaVonne, daughter of Jess Leonard and Madge (Butler) Armstrong, was born January 23, 1931, at Manilla, Iowa. She attended the schools in Manilla and in 1938 moved to Manning where she completed her schooling. She suffered a fall at her home and was taken to the Manning General Hospital where she died suddenly Thursday, November 3, 1977, at the age of 46 years, 9 months, and 10 days.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1965 and by three brothers.

She is survived by her mother, one brother, Jim Armstrong of Iowa City, Iowa; by two sisters, Mrs. Pearl George of Boone and Ida, Mrs. Verl Sims of Des Moines.
