L.W. HOFFMAN, 56, MANNING FARMER, CLAIMED BY DEATH

Lawrence W. Hoffman, 58, died at his farm home six miles northeast of Manning at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, December 12, 1947, after an illness of five years.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 Wednesday morning at Sacred Heart church, Manning, with the Rev. Fr. J.A. Roder officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

The body is resting at the family home, having been returned there from the Ohde Funeral home at 1:30 this afternoon.

Mr. Hoffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hoffman, Sr., was born October 16, 1888, on a farm near Carroll. He was married to Clara Zitzlsperger at Willey May 2, 1916.

After living on farms near Carroll and Glidden, the family moved to their present home near Manning 15 years ago.

Surviving with his wife are six children: Harriet, Earl and Willie, at home; Mrs. Leo Bluml (Phyllis) and Julius, Manning; Marian, Omaha; two grandchildren; five brothers and one sister; Charles, Seattle, Washington; Henry, Dedham; Edward, St. Louis, Missouri; Rudolph and Albert, Willey and Mrs. Edward F. Ferguson (Frances), Powell, South Dakota.
