In Memory of Leland "Lee" Wayne Friedrichsen

Leland Wayne Friedrichsen "Lee" of Pasadena, California, went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2012. He was born July 14, 1939, in Manning, Iowa, to Grant and Inez Friedrichsen. He and his brother Alan grew up on a farm with their parents. In 1954 the family relocated to Texas.

Lee graduated from Pasadena High School in 1957. After school he worked as a guard for Sinclair. Later he purchased Pasadena Ice Co/Baytown Ice. Lee married Pearl Duhon on November 12, 1976. He enjoyed boating and going on trail rides. He was good with his hands and liked woodworking as well as gardening. The serenity of the fountains on his patio made that a favorite place. He enjoyed listening to the oldies with Paul Berlin-700 AM, KSEB, Saturdays from 6-8 pm. He was quite proud of being a Texan and enjoyed the cowboy spirit in his art and decor at home. He was a big fan of the Texans football team and thought they would go to the Super Bowl this year.

Lee was a member of the Alta Vista Church and a former Exalted Ruler of the Pasadena Elks Lodge #1832 during 1987-1988.

He is survived by his daughters, Martha Trahan and her husband Gerald; Debbie Boe and her husband Keith; Diana Boze; his son, Mark Friedrichsen and his wife Shari; his brother, Alan Friedrichsen and his wife Joan; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a loving church family and a wonderful neighborhood of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Inez Friedrichsen, and his beloved wife of 33 years, Pearl Friedrichsen.
