Monday at her home one mile north and four miles west of Manning occurred the death of Lena Bruhn at the advanced age of 83 years and seven, months. For some time she has felt poorly but her friends and relative thought she would be able to live several years yet. She gradually grew worse however and peacefully passed away. Her husband died on February 22, 1906. The funeral was held at the home Thursday, Rev. Fruechte preaching the sermon. The body was then taken to the Hayes Township Cemetery where it was laid to rest. The deceased was born at Theilen, Holstein, and came to this country many years ago. She was well known in this vicinity.
