Leona S. "Lee" Larsen, 80, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at Hospice Kavanagh on 56th. Graveside funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Leona was a member of Jordan United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, playing cards and games and antiquing. She is survived by her husband, Bob; her sons, Jack (Shirley) Petersen of Ankeny and Norm (Mary) Petersen of Clive; her daughter, Nancy (Gary) Van Cleave of Ankeny; her step-daughter, Joanne (Tom) Heimbach of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and May Schrum of Manning, two sisters and one brother.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Southtown Funeral Home where there will be a 6:45 p.m. prayer service. Memorial contributions may be made to Jordan United Methodist Church, 1950 SE 4th Street in Des Moines or Hospice of Central Iowa, 401 Railroad Place in West Des Moines.
