Loving husband of the much beloved late Ruth Rose (nee Brink) was called to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Born July 16, 1922, in Manning, Iowa, to Leon and Amalia (Hansen) Hass. He graduated from Manning High School in 1940.
Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harry. Married to Ruth on June 8, 1947. In the same year they were sent to China as missionaries for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. After one year of language school in Hankow (Wuhan), China, they were evacuated in December 1948 from Shanghai, China, to Yokohama, Japan, courtesy of the United States Navy. They served in Sapporo and Tokyo from 1946-1965. During their time in the Orient they were blessed with children; David (the late Faith), Julie Feuerstein, Deborah, and Christine. Blessed with three grandchildren; Joshua, Julia (Jacob) Schneider, and John. Two great-grandchildren Thomas Leon and Henry James Schneider.

He attended Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, Illinois, from 1942-1946, and earned his B.A. and M.DIV. from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 1947. He was a fellow at the Menninger Foundation in Topeka, Kansas, in 1965. They moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where he received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at UN-L, in 1974. He served congregations in Palm Springs, California, Lincoln, Nebraska, and many in the Milwaukee area over the years.

Visitation Saturday, April 8 at HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1115 N. 35th St. Milwaukee, from 10:00 AM until time of Service at 12 NOON.

The family thanks the many medical physicians, his dentist, Dr. S. Teplin, and staffs for their compassionate support over the years.
