A funeral service for Leslie Earl David will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 20, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning.

Mr. David, 64, of Templeton died Wednesday, January 17, 1996, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.

Pastor Robert Riggert of Zion Lutheran Church and the Rev. Richard Burrack of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln Township, Audubon County will officiate the service.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton.

Casketbearers will be Jim Bruggeman, Eugene Meiners, Dale Prebeck, Carl French, Dick Musfeldt and Bob Hansen. Honorary casket bearers will be Vernon Larsen, Sam Lawson, Earl Singsank, Henry Sonksen, Dennis Janning, Harold Heithoff, Dale Schlichte and Robert Hansen.

A prayer service will be held at 7:30 tonight at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning with Father Gary Snyder officiating.

A son of Hertha David, he was born October 23, 1931, at Carroll. He attended Gray schools and graduated from high school there in 1950.

On July 20, 1951, he married Helen Lee Hacker. They lived In Gray for a short time before moving to Templeton. He worked for B.J. Conklin, then for the City of Templeton for 14 years until his retirement

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln Township, Audubon County. He was an avid fisherman and sports fan.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Lee, of Templeton; two sons: Darrell David and his wife, Doreen of Eddyville and Brian David of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren: and brothers and sisters-in law: Ed and Ruth Hacker of Marble Falls, Texas, Maurice and Mary Hacker of Bettendorf, Cliff and Anna Mae Hacker of Templeton, Virginia Janning of Lake View and Robert and Harriet McDonald of Carroll.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
