SUFFERING ENDED.
The home of Mr. and Mrs. S.F. Fry was saddened this morning by the death of their bright baby girl. Lillian Alice, aged nine months. The spirit of that little one took flight from its frail tenement of clay at 4:15 a.m. A couple or three weeks ago she was taken with whooping cough, this finally terminating in brain fever and it was the latter that brought about her death. The MONITOR, in behalf of their many friends, extends heartfelt sympathy in this, their sad hour of bereavement. The funeral will be held from the home at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, and interment will take place in the Manning Cemetery. Rev. Z.W. Steele will officiate.

IN MEMORY.
By request we publish the following verses in memory of Lillian Alice Fry deceased:

Dear Lillian thou can'st never feel,
The scorching heat of this world's scorn;
The baby feet shall never know,
The sharp rocks or the cruel thorn.
Thy little hands shall never toil,
And find that it was all in vain,
For thou hast passed far beyond,
The reach of disappointments pain.
'Tis sweet to know, oh, baby dear,
That thou for us dost ever wait.
'Tis sweet to know that thou will greet
Us, when we reach the golden gate.
And while we toil up life's rough way,
The beckoning of our baby's hand,
Will lead us safely on we know.
Until we reach the better land
Thou art not lost, oh baby dear,
Our Heavenly Father in his love,
Just took our treasure from the earth
And placed it in the bank above.
A FRIEND.
