LORENS P. CLAUSEN
Funeral rites for Lorenz P. Clausen, 83, former resident, will be held on Thursday morning, December 23, 1971, at 11 at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery, with Lester Lee, John Friedrichsen, Erlin Ewoldt, Don Ewoldt, Russell Koepke, and John A. Ehrichs as pallbearers.

Son of Henry and Dorothea (Rasmussen) Clausen, he was born February 4, 1888, at Davenport.

He was married December 2, 1913, to Marfa Ewoldt. They farmed in the Manning area, and moved to Washington State in 1947 after farming in Minnesota for five years.

In 1969, they moved to Kennewick, Washington.

Mrs. Clausen died on March 18, 1970, and Mr. Clausen died at Kennewick on Sunday, December 19, 1971.

The body will arrive in Manning Wednesday noon.

Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a son, Henry, a brother, John, and a brother, in infancy; a sister, Minnie, at the age of two.

He is survived by two sons, Earl and Arlo Clausen, both of Kennewick, a sister, Mrs. Lena Hass, Manning and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lizzie Clausen of Denison.
