LORN JOHN HAGEDORN
Lorn John Hagedorn, 69, a retired Manning farmer, died Sunday, December 14, 1980, at the Manning General Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past 10 years and had been a resident of the Manning Plaza Nursing Home for the past three years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, at Zion Lutheran church with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home of Manning.

Survivors include a brother Louis, Manning; three sisters: Mrs. Ernest (Elberta) Grimm, Manning; Mrs. Louie (Delores) Otto and Mrs. Elmer (Myrtle) Otto, both of Manilla; a step-brother Henry Mundt, Manning; a stepsister Edna Goundie, a resident of Texas; a sister-in-law Norma Wailes, Carroll: nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather John Mundt and a brother Alvin.

Mr. Hagedorn was born February 23, 1911, in Ewoldt Township north of Manning, a son of Louie and Bertha (Joachimsen) Hagedorn. He attended rural schools and farmed north of Manning for many years, retiring to live in Manning in 1973. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith June 23, 1938.
