FINAL RITES MAY 9 FOR LOUIS FRITZ

Last rites for Louis E. Fritz, son of Mrs. Anna Fritz of Manning, were held at Irene, South Dakota, Tuesday afternoon, May 9, from the Lutheran Church with the Rev. J.N. Johnson, pastor, in charge. Interment was in the Hillcrest Cemetery there.

Mr. Fritz was a rural mail carrier at Irene where he had lived since 1919, having moved there to Madison, South Dakota. He was chose rural mail carrier that year and had served in that capacity more than 30 years. He became ill April 5 and passed away in a hospital at Yankton, South Dakota, at the age of 58 years, 6 months and 11 days.

Mr. Fritz was born at Botna, Shelby County, Iowa, October 19, 1891. He was raised and received his early education in Manning.

On January 13, 1914, Mr. Fritz was married to Miss Marie Burke and to this union were born eight children. Mrs. Fritz died July 10, 1941, and also preceding the father were three children who died in infancy and a daughter Dorothy (Mrs. Lavern Nelson) on May 16, 1945.

He was united in marriage to Alma Hellie of Hills, Minnesota, November 28, 1945, who survives together with his mother, Mrs. Anna Fritz of Manning; three brothers, four children, and four grandchildren. Mr. Fritz was a member of Irene Lutheran Church.
