The deceased was confirmed in the German Evangelical Church in early youth and remained a steadfast communicant of that church and a loyal Christian throughout life. She was of a most unselfish nature, loved quietness and ever enjoyed the love of a large circle of affectionate friends. She had often expressed her desire for a sudden transition from this world to the Great Beyond and had frequently said she was ready go whenever the summons should come.

The funeral services were held from the Methodist Episcopal Church conducted by Rev. Gustaf Tillmanns of Manilla assisted by Rev. E.B. Scoggan.

A large number of friends showed their affection for their deceased friend by attendance at the last sad rites at the church and cemetery. The body was laid to rest in the Manning Cemetery to await the Great Judgment Day.
