LOUISE HARDEN

Louise Maxine Harden, of Las Vegas, peacefully passed away April 25, 2014. Born July 10, 1919, in Manning, Iowa, to Oleda and Henry Bliefert.

She graduated Manning High School in 1937.

An independent woman, she moved Council Bluffs, Iowa working in Martin's Drug Store. A series of moves took her to Omaha, Nebraska, and Spokane, Washington, before she moved to California to work at the Oakland Naval Base in 1945.

She married Max Harden, a chief electrician in the U.S. Navy, February 27, 1946. They had two sons, Craig and Brent. Making Las Vegas their home in 1954, she was an active member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sons. Louise is survived by her three sisters, Marilyn of Alameda, California, Joyce of Osawatomie, Kansas, and Carol of Susanville, California; cousin, Jeanne; and grandsons, Mikeal and Erik.

Viewing and services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
