Lynn Everett Christensen was born on January 4, 1960, to Everett Fred and Marjorie Kathryn (Tibben) Christensen in Audubon, Iowa. He attended Manning Community Schools and graduated in 1978. Growing up, Lynn was involved in 4-H and FFA. He supported his kids through 4-H, FFA and any other activity they were involved in. He carried this support over to his grandchildren who were beginning their 4-H projects. Lynn was also well-known by many as "Farmer." After graduating high school, he started his own farm where his true love and passion was. That was the place where his family came together. For him working hard often was what he was most proud of and known for. This was one of the many things that he passed on to everyone he met. Over the years, Lynn raised livestock and baled hay. He worked various jobs over the years. He spent his last 15 years working for Valo Chicken Farms in Adel.

On June 23, 2012, Lynn married Lorna (Boote) Heemstra. Lynn and Lorna enjoyed spending time together at the farm, traveling and spending time with their seven grandchildren.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Lorna; son, Brad (Tara) Christensen; daughters, Marcy (Dustin) Conover and Kara Christensen; stepsons, Joe (Kimberly) Heemstra, David Heemstra and Jason Heemstra; sister, Jan (Wayne) Brown; brother, Lee (Tammy) Christensen; sister-in-law, Denise Christensen; grandsons, Russel Christensen, Thomas and Jake Heemstra; granddaughters, Bailey and Myia Christensen, Ashton and Kimber Conover; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family and friends.

Lynn was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Roy; brother, Lyle Christensen; his parents and grandparents.

Memorial contributions may be directed in Lynn Christensen's name to the First State Bank in Stuart.
