MALINDA G. FONKEN
Funeral services for Malinda Grace Fonken, 59, Manning, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church, Manning. The Rev. G.C. Hattendorf will officiate and burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Miss Fonken died early Thursday, February 27, 1964, at St. Anthony Hospital, Carroll, where she had been a patient since February 11. She had undergone surgery Monday.

She was born March 26, 1904, in Washington Township, Crawford County, a daughter of Dick and Amelia (Martens) Fonken. She attended rural school s, graduated from Manning High School in 1923, and taught in rural schools for eight years. Since 1945, she had made her home with her brother, John Fonken, following the death of his wife.

In addition to her brother, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ed (Elsie) Willisen of Gray, nieces and nephews.
