MRS. EDWIN JOHNSON
Mrs. Edwin (Marcella) Johnson, 50, of Manning died at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll Wednesday evening, July 14, 1971, after an extended illness.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, where friends may start calling at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Donald Griffin, pastor of the United Methodist Church will officiate; burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. Eastern Star memorial rites will be held at Ohde's at 9 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Johnson was born at Manilla August 22, 1920, a daughter of Louie and Elsa (Boyens) Wiese. She attended Manning High School and graduated from Manilla High School in 1938. Her marriage to Mr. Johnson took place November 5, 1939, and they have lived in Manning since then. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the V.F.W. and American Legion Auxiliaries, and was a past matron of the Eastern Star.

Surviving with her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Barbara) Hicks of Manning, Mrs. Sandra Hicks of Denison, and Mrs. Harlan (Kathy) Moore of Omaha, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; her parents, of Manilla; two brothers: Milford Wiese of Manning, and Dewey Wiese of Manilla; and a sister, Mrs. Donna Hargens, Manning.


Marcella Johnson is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
