Obituary for Marcia Mae Holloway

Marcia Mae Holloway was born on April 5, 1941, to John and Lillie (Paulsen) Juhl in Manning, Iowa. She attended country school at Jefferson No. 7 at Botna and graduated from Irwin High School with the Class of 1959. She later attended Iowa Western Community College for two years, earning her Associate's Degree in Graphic Arts.

On February 14, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert Holloway near Irwin, Iowa. They became parents to three children: Kevin, Susanne, and Lori.

Marcia enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. Once they were older, she worked at CDS, the 59er, Johnny's Café, and Subs and Suds. She was a great cook and her customers as well as her family appreciated her talent. She enjoyed making ceramics, painting china, was a long-time friend of the Kirkman United Methodist Church, and huge fan of NBA basketball.

Marcia spent eight days at Elm Crest Retirement Home before she died on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at the age of seventy-four years, eight months, and twelve days. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Lillie Juhl, her husband Robert, and brothers Laverne, Wayne, and Virgil Juhl.

She is survived by her son Kevin Holloway and his wife Cheryl of Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughters Susanne and her husband Stuart Price of Centennial, Colorado and Lori and her husband Quint Franke of Neola, Iowa; six grandchildren: Robert, Rachael, Nicholas, Jonathon, Jaden, and Ashley; her sister Dorothy and her husband Junior Holloway of Harlan; other family members and many friends.
