Mrs. Margaret Brus
Mrs. Margaret Brus, 76, Manning, died Monday afternoon, July 17, 1961, at Manning General Hospital.

Funeral services will be at Lutheran Church, Manning. The Rev. Theodore Tews, Arcadia, will officiate, assisted by Vicar James Murray. Pallbearers will be six nephews, and burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Brus was born September 13, 1884, in Crawford County, a daughter of John and Anna (Eggers) Ehrichs. She attended Iowa No. 3 country school, and then assisted in rearing the family at home. She married Hugo Brus September 29, 1959, and they lived on a farm in Iowa Township until 1913. At that time, they moved to their own farm southeast of Manning, retiring about March 1, 1947. Mr. Brus died June 13, 1947.

Surviving is one son LeRoy Brus, Manning; three daughters. Mrs. Melvin (Rosella) McMahon, Des Moines; Mrs. Harold (Ann) Nielsen, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Mrs. Ludwig (Florence) Seidl, Dedham; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister. Mrs. Tena Tollgaard, Flandreau, South Dakota; and four brothers, Henry Ehrichs, Flandreau, South Dakota; Emil Ehrichs, Denison; and Louie and Frank Ehrichs, Aspinwall.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brus was preceded in death by one grandson, her parents, and seven brothers and sisters.
