MARIE JENSEN
Mrs. Marie Jensen was the daughter of Charles and Emma (Bock) Stuhr. She was born in Shelby County on August 11, 1898. She attended country schools and was united in marriage with Albert Jensen on November 21, 1917. They farmed in the Manning area for 55 years.

Her husband died in 1973 and she has made her home with her daughter for the past year and a half. Marie entered Jenny Edmonson Hospital in Council Bluffs one week ago where she died Saturday morning, January 10, at the age of 77 years, 4 months, and 29 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Louie, Alfred and Art, one sister, Emma (Mrs. William Frye).

She is survived by one daughter Grace (Mrs. Eugene Schatz) of Manning, two grandchildren, Gene and Jennifer, and two great grandchildren, two brothers, Herman of Glidden and Charles of Manning, two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Day of Glidden and Mrs. Edna Klinkefus of Colorado Springs, as well as by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Society.

Funeral services were held Monday January 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church. Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Amos Stuhr, Robert Grundmeier, Kenneth Jensen, Roy Struve, George Musfeldt and Glenn Jensen.
