MARTIN BENISCHEK
Martin Benischek, 84, of Aspinwall died at Manning early Sunday morning, November 5, 1972. He suffered a broken hip two years ago and had been a patient at Manning General Hospital and the Manning Plaza since then.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning. The Rev. Carl Fetterman, pastor of the Baptist Church at Rebb, will officiate. Burial will be in King Cemetery near Vail, with grandsons as pallbearers.

Mr. Benischek was born September 29, 1888, in Jones County, a son of Nicholas and Mary Benischek, and came to Vail as a young man. He was married in 1915 to Julia Slechta. They farmed near Vail until 1938 and then near Manilla until moving to Aspinwall in 1950.

Surviving with his wife are three daughters: Gladys, at home, Mrs. Leo (Ruth) Reinart of Sioux City, and Mrs. Everett (Irene) Quick of Manilla; a son, Lee, of Sioux City; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry of Monmouth, Iowa; and a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Dora) Groth of Olin, Iowa. Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
