MARVIN HILL

Funeral services for Marvin Hill were held Saturday, February 3, 1979, at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Joel Wright of the Presbyterian Church in Manning officiated. Organist was Bonita Hagedorn and vocalist was Judy Joens. Interment was in Manning Cemetery with Michael Hill, Ronald Hill, Gary Bucklin, Dennis Hill, Gerald Hill and Charles Hill as casketbearers. The Ohde Funeral Home in Manning was in charge of arrangements.

Marvin Michael, son of Ferdinand and Ann (Struve) Hill, was born December 9, 1905, in Audubon County, Iowa. He attended the rural schools near his home and was united in marriage with Faye Chamberlain on December 26, 1941. They farmed near Manning where Marvin specialized in cattle feeding. He was an active member in the National Farmers Organization. They moved to Gunnison, Colorado, about three years ago and to Canon City, Colorado, in August of 1978. Marvin entered the hospital in Colorado Springs about two months ago where he died on Tuesday, January 30, 1979, at the age of 73 years, 1 month, and 22 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Faye; by one sister, Faily Hill of Manning; and by four brothers, Albert Hill of Omaha, Wilbur and Willus of Manning; and Harold Hill of Schleswig; as well as by many other relatives and friends.
