MARVIN J. LAMP
Marvin J. Lamp, 79, Manning, died about noon Sunday, May 24, 1964, at Manning General Hospital following a long illness.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ohde Funeral Home here, with the Rev. Carl Sinning, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Clifford Johnson will be soloist and Bonita (Mrs. Herman W.) Hagedorn, organist. Interment will be in Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Lamp was born February 7, 1885, in Iowa Township, Crawford County, a son of Joachim and Agnes (Wiese) Lamp. He attended rural schools near his home and in 1909, was married to Rosa Kuhl. They farmed until retiring and moving into Manning in 1946. Mr. Lamp had been ill since 1951. He entered Manning General Hospital May 1, 1957, and remained there until his death. Mrs. Lamp died December 22, 1957.

Surviving are one son, Joe Lamp, Garner; one daughter, Mrs. Harry (Louise) Koester, Manning; three grandsons and one great-grandchild: and the following brothers and sisters: Frank Lamp, Carroll; Ed Lamp, Denison; Vertus, Herman, Gerhardt, and Hubert Lamp, Manning; and Mrs. Jessie Voge, Lake City.

Besides his wife, one brother, Charles Lamp, preceded him in death.
