Death of Mrs. Corbin.
After a very short illness Mrs. Corbin passed peacefully away at her home in the city. For some years she had been having stomach troubles but not very serious until the last attack. Last Wednesday morning she was taken with severe pain of the stomach and a doctor was called but it seemed that only temporary relief was to be had, she grew gradually worse and Saturday morning it seemed that her heart began to fail and at one o'clock she passed away.

Mrs. Corbin was a good, kind woman, a loving wife and mother. Mary C. (Baldwin) Corbin was born in Ohio January, 15, 1849; moved to Illinois May 24, 1868; was married to Andrew J. Corbin and shortly afterwards they moved to Shelby County where they resided until about four years ago when they moved to Manning, where they have since resided.

The funeral took place at the M.E. Church at 10 o'clock Monday, where Rev. Alexander Bennett delivered a very touching and sympathetic sermon. Mrs. Corbin was a member of the W.R.C., Mr. Corbin having served three years in the Civil War. She was also a good Christian woman. She leaves an aged husband and one son, Henry Corbin, who resides here in Manning, to mourn the loss of a dear wife and mother. The remains were interred in the Manning Cemetery, south of town. The family has the deepest sympathy of the entire community in this, their sad affliction.

The undersigned desire, through the columns of the Monitor to kindly thank the many friends who were so kind to assist them in the sickness and death of our wife and mother.
Andrew J. Corbin, Henry Corbin.
