Widow of Pioneer Business Man Died.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Hansen, widow of Theodor D. Hansen, pioneer Manning business man were held at Sacred Heart church in Manning, on Saturday morning with Msgr. Edward Vollmer of Sioux City Officiating. Burial was in the Manning Catholic cemetery. Pall bearers were F. J. McMahon, Dr. V.R. Anderson, Herman Pahde, John Junge, Leonard Farrell and Otto Borkowski.
Mrs. Hansen died at 3 a.m. Thursday at the Manning hospital where she had been a patient 12 days since suffering a broken hip in a fall at her home.
She was born July 25. 1869 in Wisconsin and was married to Mr. Hansen on April 14,
1896, at Odebolt. Prior to marriage she taught school. She had been employed as a
milliner in the firm of Karsten and Hansen in Manning which later became Hansen-Pahde
company.
Mr. Hansen died in 1943.
The couple had no children.
Mrs. Hansen is survived by one sister, Mrs. L.L. (Sophronie) Goreham of Odebolt, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was the oldest member of Sacred Heart church and the Christian Mothers Society.
