Church rites on Thursday for Mrs. A. David
Manning, Iowa, MONITOR Thursday, March 19, 1959

Funeral services for Mrs. Albert (Minna) David, 83, will be held at Zion Lutheran Church Thursday, at 2:00 p m with the Rev .George Eschenbacher officiating. Burial will be in the Manning cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Sibbel, Ben D. Joens, Walter Bald, Harry Hinz, Walter Ullerich and Herman Kienast.

Mrs. David died on Sunday afternoon at her home in Manning.

Daughter of Henry and Alvina Polzin Borkowski, she was born Jan 19, 1876 in Walnut and moved with her family to Lincoln township at the age of eight. On May 12, 1899, she was married to Albert David. They farmed in Lincoln Township until 1944, when they moved to Manning.

She is survived by her husband, four sons: Alfred, Emil, Clarence of Audubon; Hugo of St Joseph, Mich and a daughter, Mrs. William (Edna) Friedrichsen of Milton-Freewater, Ore. She also leaves three brothers, Emil, Gus, and Henry Borkowski, four half-brothers. Paul, Leo, Bert and Albert Borkowski; and four half-sisters Mrs. August Jurgens, Mrs. Ernest Meyer, Mrs. Laura Dahlke and Mrs. Max Jurgens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers in infancy and a brother, O.A. Borkowski.

The body was at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning until time of rites.


Minna David is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
