DEATH OF MRS. FOSTER.
Sarah (Mrs. James L.) Foster, of Lincoln Township, died on Friday, April 15, from the effects of blood poisoning, aged nearly 59 years. The funeral services were held from the home on Sunday last and the remains were interred in Lincoln Center Cemetery. Mrs. Foster was a lady highly respected and her circle of friends was large. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her loss, eleven children, nine of whom attended her funeral. The children who were here from abroad are Mrs. Estes, Lyden, Neb.; Mrs. Nora Lambert, Rock Island; Ill.; Mrs. Eliza McMurray, Leeds, Iowa; William Foster, Calliope, Iowa. The following lines were handed in for publication:

Our mother's voice is hushed and still:
She is no longer here;
Our home is desolate indeed,
Without that one so dear.
With her the trials on earth are o'er,
Her work forever done.
But yet we know the bliss of heaven
With her has Just begun.
What glorious life so far beyond
This world of sin and strife,
Is here, with Joy unspeakable,
A home in heaven's eternal life.
Her loss we deeply feel
Our hearts are sad and drear;
But while we weep the bitter tear,
May the Holy comforter be near.
Oh, may we ever tread that path,
Which she has trod so long;
Till we at last shall meet above,
Our family in that world of song.
Farewell dear mother, thus farewell;
Thy toils and cares are o'er:
Thy spirit gently rests in peace,
Till time shall be no more.
