Funeral Service were held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 4, 2014, Zion Lutheran Church Manning, Iowa. Visitation was held Monday, March 3, 2014, after 5 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. Officiating: Reverend Jonathan Conner and Reverend Robert Riggert. Organist: Carlys Stribe Congregational Hymns, "Lift High The Cross," "On Eagle's Wings" and "It Is Well With My Soul". Casket Bearers: Brent and Brock Kreft, Nate, Bryan and Chad Rohe, Cole Hinners and Dustin Karsten, Austin Parr and Patrick Hinners. Honorary Casket Bearers: Brittany Scarberry Alison Karsten. Interment Manning Cemetery, Manning, Iowa.

Neva Hinners, age 84, of Manning, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Manning Plaza Nursing Home in Manning.

Neva Jane, daughter of Henry and Helma (Strathman) Kruse, was born August 10, 1929, at her home near Manning. She attended country school near Westside and graduated from Westside High School.

On October 4, 1947, Neva was united in marriage with Robert Raymond Hinners at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. Neva and Bob farmed and lived on area farms, moving into Manning in 1990. To this union, five children were born. Neva was a homemaker the majority of her life, but did work part-time after her children were in school. She enjoyed life, especially being with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, a sister Genelle Kienast, brothers-in-law Orville Kroeger and Leland Kienast, a sister-in-law Maxine Koch, her mother-in-law Hertha Hinners and father-in-law Ed Hinners.

Neva is survived by five children: Deborah Hinners of Wichita Falls, Texas; Cynthia and Duane Karsten of Manning; Kathleen and Dave Rohe of Manning; Susan and Oscar Kreft of Sac City; and James and Amy Hinners of Henderson, Nevada; Eleven grandchildren: Cole Hinners, Alison and Dustin Karsten; Nate and Karla Rohe; Bryan and Amy Rohe; Chad Rohe; Brent and Brock Kreft; Brittany and Chad Scarberry; Austin Parr and Patrick Hinners; five great-grandsons: Alex, Connor, Colby, Tanner and Tommy Rohe; a sister Virgene Kroeger of Manning; a brother-in-law Leonard Koch of Manning; other relatives and friends.
