Norma J. Foote, 87, passed away March 9, 2016, at Arbor Springs in West Des Moines, Iowa. She was born November 25, 1928, in Manning, to Everett and Mildred (Hagge) Dau. After graduating from Manning High School in 1946, she moved to Des Moines and worked for several companies as a secretary. She met her future husband, F. Leslie Foote, while ballroom dancing. After her marriage, she eventually stopped working to raise a family, and settled with her husband in Windsor Heights, Iowa. She attended First Federated Church; was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and PEO; and enjoyed visiting relatives, bridge groups, bowling, baking, gardening, and watching basketball games.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Jeff Friedson) Foote and Robert (Janet) Foote; and grandchildren, Bryan and Kevin Foote. Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, F. Leslie Foote.

Joint services for Norma and Les will be held March 25, 10 a.m. at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Following the service, their cremated remains will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
