Patricia J. Drees, 82 of Manning, died early Wednesday morning, November 30, 2016, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll.

Pat's family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born on September 26, 1934, at Manning, Iowa, Patricia was the daughter of Mayburn and Phyllis (Wagner) Ramsey. She spent her entire lifetime in the Manning area where she graduated from Manning High School with the Class of 1953. Following her secondary education, Pat attended Ray Voge Fashion School, graduating in 1955. She returned to Manning and was united in marriage to James Drees on January 29, 1955, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manning. Jim and Pat made their home near Manning where she was a devoted homemaker.

Pat enjoyed knitting, needle pointing, and reading. She was active with the Democratic Central Committee, serving as precinct chairperson for several years. Pat also assisted with 4-H, as well as being a member of the Manning Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes Fan, enjoyed watching them in all sporting activities, and attended numerous bowl games over the years with her husband Jim.

Pat is survived by her husband Jim Drees of Manning; her sons: Jeff Drees and his wife Gail of Austin, Texas; and Jay Drees and his wife Maureen of Manning; her daughter-in-law, Edith Drees of Ankeny; her grandchildren: Nate Drees, Jim Drees, Danielle Drees, Jon Drees, Kate Drees, and Abby Drees; her great-grandchildren: Brock Drees, Brew Drees, Kenzie Drees, and Erin Drees; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Herb (Carol) Drees of State Center, Joan Bauer of Manilla, and Dean (Ruth) Drees of Manning; as well as other extended relatives.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her son Nick Drees; her brother: Jim (Barb) Ramsey; her sister Barbara in infancy, and her brother-in-law, Don Bauer.
