Funeral rites for Paul Carl Borkowski, 75, were held on Saturday, Sept 19, at 2:00 at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. With Rev G.C. Hattendorf officiating, Dorothy Kusel, organist. Burial was in Manning Cemetery. Mr. Borkowski died at Manning General Hospital on Thursday morning, Sept 17. He entered the hospital on Sept 13.

Son of Henry and Johanna David Borkowski, he was born June 28, 1889 in Lincoln Township, Audubon County. He married Ida Ross on March 4, 1914, and the couple farmed in Lincoln Township until moving to Manning in 1951.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Lloyd of Manning; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Vogel Kansas City. Mo. and Mrs. Alverda Rudd, Van Nuys. Calif; six grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Borkowski, Manning, and Leo Borkowski, Audubon; four sisters: Mrs. Anna Jurgens, Audubon; Mrs. Alma Meyer, Omaha; Mrs. Lena Jurgen; Paley; Mrs. Laura Dahlke Omaha; two half-brothers, Emil Borkowski, Wessington Springs, SD and Gus Borkowski of Gray.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, a brother, Bert; two half brothers, Henry and Otto Borkowski, and a half sister, Mrs. Albert David.
