MRS. PAULINA ASMUS died on the 9th inst. (means of this current month) at her home seven miles north of town. The funeral was held Sunday and the remains were laid to rest in the Manning Cemetery, the Rev. William Martens conducting the services.

The deceased was born in Germany March 18, 1868. While yet young in years she came with her parents to this country. Later she was married to John W. Asmus, who, together with four children: three girls and a boy today mourn the untimely departure of wife and mother.
