Peter Loch, Former Resident Dies In Omaha
Mr. Peter Loch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Loch, deceased, of Manning, passed away at his home in Omaha, on Friday, December 20, 1940, after a lingering illness.

Born in Manning, October 7, 1877, he received his education in the Manning schools and went to Omaha at the age of 21 years. He was a noted sportsman and became a professional wrestler. He was a well-liked and highly esteemed business man, and has contributed much to the athletic sports in Omaha and vicinity. His characteristic was kindness and charity. He gave freely and cheerfully. Although operating a saloon he was known never to touch intoxicants.

In his wrestling enterprises he was connected with Farmer Burns, Frank Gotch, and others.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, December 24 in the St. Maria Magdalena Church and interment at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.

Loch Formerly Of Manning Rites Not Set
Peter Loch of Omaha, who died Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha after a long illness, was formerly of Manning. Loch, who was sixty-one at the time of his death, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Loch of Manning. He attended the Manning schools and grew to manhood here. He became the world's light heavyweight wrestling claimant and has given many exhibitions in Manning.

He is survived by a daughter, one sister and several brothers.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed. At the time of his death, he operated a cafe in Omaha.
