Born April 25, 1879, in Scott County, Iowa. Entered into rest at home, Manning, Iowa, October 20, 1957.

Rudolph H. Kuhl
Rudolph Henry Kuhl, 78 former city councilman, died at his home here Sunday afternoon. He had been an invalid since suffering a stroke about six weeks ago.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church here, with the Rev. Fr. Frank of Manilla officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Ohde Funeral Home, where the body is remaining until the time of the church rites.

Mr. Kuhl was born April 25, 1879, in Scott County, Iowa. At the age of five years, he came with his parents, Henry and Dorothea Schroeder Kuhl, to a farm west of Manning.

The family moved to Manning in 1908.

Mr. Kuhl was married to Edna Coomes November 26, 1921, at Manning.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Louise) Kuhse and Mrs. Mark (Irma) Grant, both of Omaha; six grandchildren; one brother, Charles Kuhl, Manning and one sister, Mrs. Henry Jensen, Aspinwall.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gustav and Adolph Kuhl.

Mr. Kuhl, a painter and interior decorator, had retired about five years ago.

He had served on the city council for 10 years and had been a longtime member of the Manning Fire Department.
