RALPH BERKHEIMER
Military Funeral rites for Ralph Berkheimer, 75, were held on Monday, February 2 at 2;00 p.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, with Rev. Robert Railing of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery with military pallbearers.

Mr. Berkheimer died suddenly at his home in South Manning on Friday morning, January 30. His wife, Frieda, died on January 27, and was buried on January 29.

Son of Chester and Mary Onur Berkheimer, he was born April 30, 1894 at Tabor, Iowa. He was a World War I Veteran.

On December 24, 1924, he married Frieda Puck at Manning. They farmed near Botna for 21 years, and then retired and moved to Manning. He had been in failing health for several years.

He was preceded by his wife, his parents, a sister and brother. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Lambert (Blanche) Thompson, Randolph, Iowa; Mrs. Ethel Turner, Burns, Oregon; and a brother, Gene of Merced, California.


Ralph Berkheimer is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
