Rex Frazer, 82

On May 25th, 2014, Rex L. Frazer, Leavenworth, Kansas, went home to be with his Lord Jesus. He was 82.

Interment with family and friends welcome will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 30th, 2014, at Leavenworth National Cemetery with full military honors. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., at the Pioneer Chapel, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, with LTC (Ret.) Tom Schmidt officiating the celebration.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 29th, 2014 at Belden Larkin Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Rex was born in Manning, Iowa, son of Lloyd and Carol Frazer. In 1953, he married Janice R. Krattet. Their children are Teri married to Steve Maxwell of Leavenworth, Kansas, and Tami married to Robert Jassey of Madison, Alabama. Their grandchildren are: Nathan married to Melanie, Christopher married to Anna Marie, Sarah, Joseph, John, Anna, Jesse, and Mary Maxwell; and Troy married to Misty, and Mark Jassey. They have 8 great grandchildren and one in heaven.

LTC (Ret.) Frazer was an Army officer for almost 30 years. He served two tours in Vietnam. His military awards include 3 bronze stars - 1 for Valor, and 2 Purple Hearts.

When Rex was 47, he placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior and spent the rest of his life serving Him. Rex and Jan taught the Bethel Bible Series for 20 years. He was a volunteer at the Main Post Chapel, Fort Leavenworth, Kanas; President of Hospice/Home Health Care of Leavenworth Board; and a Board member of Lamb's Inn. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa and had a Master's degree from Webster University.

Memorials can be given to Spring Canyon Conference Center (Buena Vista, CO), Bethel Bible Series (Waunakee, Wisconsin), or Lamb's Inn (Leavenworth, Kansas).
