Funeral services and burial for Richard Dethlefsen were held March 28, 1994 at Chandler, Arizona.

Richard Dethlefsen, 57, Mesa, Arizona, a former Manning resident, died March 23, 1994 at his home after a long illness.

Mr. Dethlefsen was born September 18, 1936 at Manning, Iowa, the son of Fred and Florence Dethlefsen. He attended school at Manning. He lived in South Sioux City and Dakota City for several years where he was employed as a truck driver for Cargill before moving to Mesa in 1977.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen; four sons: Ronald and Mark Dethlefsen and Scott and Kevin Medema; three daughters, Debbie, Diane and Jackie; two brothers: Fred Dethlefsen and Bud Graff; three sisters: Helen Dethlefsen, LaJune Miller and Linda Hayden and two grandsons.
