Obituary.
On last Sunday February 21, Richard Ferdinand Frerk, died at his home seven miles south of Manning, after one week of intense suffering with inflammation of the bowels. It seemed to be one of those extreme bad cases from the start and medical aid could do no good. Richard, as he was known best, was almost blooming into manhood and the loss to his parents is more than they can bear. He was born June 17, 1889, at Millet, Nebraska, but his parents soon after moved to their farm south of Manning where he has since resided. He leaves a father, mother, one brother and three sisters to mourn his loss, a brother Henry dying September 17, 1897. The funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Bennett and Berthold Kraus, making a short talk. The remains were interred in the Manning Cemetery, followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends.

Richard Frerk is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
