Richard Carl "Pick" Heller, 47, of Sac City, died Saturday, November 5, 1983, at Loring Hospital in Sac City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning with the Rev. John Cornish, minister of the Manning United Methodist Church, officiating. Dorothy Kusel will be organist and Judy Joens will sing. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Doug Weems, Terry Christensen Bob Schaben, Declan Gross, Gary Ausdorn and Daryl Glasnapp.

Mr. Heller is survived by his wife, LaRae, Sac City; four sons: Mike, Council Bluffs; Kurt, Audubon; Darrin and Jason Heller, both at home; seven step-children: Kaelyn Juarez, Anaheim, Calif.; Darwin Betterton, Boise, Idaho; Paul Schaben, Carroll; Gayla Gross, Earling; Sheila Betterton, Storm Lake; Shawn Betterton, Denison, and Darcy Betterton, at home; six grandchildren Jennifer and Joshua Betterton, Denison; Rachel and Lindsey Schaben, Carroll, and Joseph and Angela Gross, Earling; his father, Carl Heller; his mother, Mabel Lange Knief and his (incomplete)…
