He attended country school until the 8th grade.
In the fall of 1956 Robert came to Manning High School and graduated with the class of 1960. On May 30, 1965, Robert and Diane were married, and soon two sons, Mark and Matthew were born to the couple.

Robert graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1968 in Accounting and that became his occupation that took him and his family to several different cities and states.

Robert passed away after a battle with cancer on August 27, 1998. His remains were cremated.
