Phillipsburg resident, Robert James Lamp, Sr. passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg at the age of 86. He was born on March 14, 1925, in Manning, Iowa, the son of Edwin and Mabel (Stuhr) Lamp.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gerry on November 9, 2004.

Survivors include his sons, Rodney of North Platte, Nebraska, Robert Jr. of Phillipsburg and Richard of Colby; his daughter, Rhonda Lamp of Topeka, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Lorna Paulus officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery with military honors by Ft. Riley, Kansas, Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 Wednesday and 9:00 to 9:00 Thursday at the funeral home.
