MANNING - Funeral services for Mrs. George (Rosa Anna) Dammann, 91, of Manning were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Zion Lutheran Church, Manning, with the Rev. Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning. Mrs. Dammann died at the Manning General Hospital early Saturday morning.

Mrs. Dammann, daughter of Jacob and Johanna Marie (Rohr) Kortum was born October 28, 1885, at Walnut, Iowa. As a small child, she moved with her parents to a farm west of Botna where she attended rural schools. Her marriage to George Dammann took place on February 21, 1906. They farmed near Manning until 1935? when they bought their 80 acre farm south of Manning. They lived at this farm until the death of her husband on January 20, 1958. In June 1958 she moved into Manning and lived there until entering the long-term care unit of the Manning General Hospital one year ago.

Surviving is one son, Raymond Dammann of Manning; a granddaughter, Mrs. Bob (Virginia) Johnson of Manning: two great-granddaughters, Teresa and Sonia and a sister, Mrs. Marie Cooper of Englewood, Ohio. Besides her Husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, seven sisters and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ray (Mabel) Dammann.
