Mrs. Sarah Harvey died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.A. Swearingen, three miles north of town, on last Saturday. Short funeral services were held at the Swearingen home on Monday after which the remains were brought to town and placed aboard a Northwestern train, which bore them to Whiteside County, the old home of the deceased, and where interment took place on Tuesday.

Rev. S.F. Weaver, of the M.E. Church, conducted the funeral services and five Manning ladies, namely, Mrs. J.A. Lewis, Misses Effie Atherton, Eva McMurray, Ida Hall and Lou Patton, sang appropriate hymns.

Mrs. Sarah Harvey was born 1830 in Holmes County, Ohio, and was married in 1865 to William Harvey, who died seven years later. The deceased was the parent of two children, a son and daughter, both of whom survive her. George Harvey resides at Coleridge, Nebr., and the daughter, Mrs. J. Swearingen, resides near this city.
