Funeral rites for Mrs. Sarah Hayes, widow of Dr. Earl A. Hays, were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 1971, at Fort Dodge, where she died on Friday. Burial was in Ft. Dodge Monday.

Mrs. Hays is survived by a son, Merlin, his wife, and four grandchildren: Kenneth, Keith, Paul and Marjorie, of 1117 No. 19th St., Fort Dodge. Survived by two brothers, Clarence Howland, of Des Moines, and Will Howland of Rolfe. Also several nieces and nephews.

Dr. Hays grew up in Manning and was the brother of Mrs. Blanche Grelck, Mrs. Enid Barsby of Manning, Mrs. Erma Wiese of Aspinwall, Mrs. H.J. (Delphia) White of Park Rapids, Minnesota, and Mrs. Clyde (Mary) Doolittle of Des Moines.
